Top 10 Worst Films Of 2025

10. The Gorge

So many things went wrong with this film from the pacing, lack of action sequences, multiple genre storytelling and the two lead characters not feeling fleshed out enough. This film is very misleading because the first half is a romantic drama and the rest of it is a Horror/Action Adventure film. I only cared about the film when our two characters actually went into the gorge. Anya Taylor Joy and Miles Teller are great actors that were wasted on such a terrible film.

9. Love Hurts

Since Ariana DeBose won Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards back in 2022 you would think that she would get better roles but unfortunately that hasn't been happening. Can someone please get Ariana DeBose a new manager/agent? The films that she has been in since winning her Academy Award has been absolute duds and Love Hurts is one of them.

Ariana DeBose doesn't appear until halfway through the film and by that point I had already checked out. The action sequences in this film are so outlandish that it is like something straight out of a cartoon. Marshawn Lynch is the only thing to like about this film. There also seems to be a lack of chemistry between Ariana and Ke Huy Quan.

8. Kinda Pregnant

Yes, I actually took time to watch an Amy Schumer film. Kinda Pregnant is a comedy film about Lainy Newton (played by Amy Schumer) whose ready to settle down and start a family. However, when she and her boyfriend break up she fakes a baby bump, tells a lie and falls in love with a guy. The only thing I actually enjoy Amy Schumer in is Trainwreck.

Once again Amy Schumer produces and writes this trainwreck (no pun attended) of a film. Almost, everyone in this film is funny except for her which really isn't surprising to say the least.

7. Honey Don't

Margaret Qualley and Aubrey Plaza are both exceptional actors, however, Honey Don't just wasn't it. In the Crime/Comedy film Margaret Qualley plays Honey O'Donahue a small town private investigator who looks into a serious of murders that could be linked to a cult like church. Chris Evans plays Reverend Drew Devlin, the leader of the church that Honey is looking into and he is probably one of the only highlights of this very bland film.

There are a lot of things that's wrong with Honey Don't. For starters I'm not sure what this movie is about. Is it about a private investigator trying to take down a mysterious cult like church? Or is it about a queer private investigator who is struggling with daddy/commitment issues? Another gripe I had with the film is it takes place during this time period but the film is shot as if it takes place during the 70's/80's.

6. Die My Love

Die My Love starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson is a very divisive film as far as I can tell. You either love it or hate it and there is no in between. Here is the plot of the film according to Letterboxd: “Grace, a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in Montana, her increasingly agitated and erratic behaviour leaves her companion, Jackson, worried and helpless.”

There are sooo many things that is wrong with this God for saken film it's hard to start with one specific thing because everything annoyed me about this film. Let's start with Grace (played by Jennifer Lawrence) and Jackson's (played by Robert Pattinson) relationship: other than sex why do they love each other? After Grace has the baby they stop being intimate but before the baby even comes into the picture we aren't exactly sure what these two have in common that made one of them fall in love with the other. Jackson is one of the worst enablers ever. Whenever, Grace does something terrible he just takes her back with open arms instead of getting her the help that she needs.

Everyone's defense of this garbage film is the same: “it's a character study.” I don’t care what it is because not only are the two main characters unlikable, the pacing is bad, they use Lakeith Steinfield as the token black character with very few lines and there are just too many plot holes to enjoy this mess. A film about a woman having a mental breakdown after becoming a mom is a great idea on paper but because of all of the negatives I pointed out about this film it's a waste of time.

5. The Great Flood

Imagine Groundhog Day meets Interstellar meets Titanic. The recent Netflix film The Great Flood is such a confusing mess that it isn't even fun to watch. I feel as if the movie moves to quickly and we don't really get time to learn about this mother/son until the disaster strikes when their whole apartment complex is struck with a flood. This film is rather confusing because it starts off as a family drama/Thriller then it turns into this weird film about AI tasked to destroy the world and the mother is a doctor that is responsible for it for some odd reason.

4. Fixed

While Sony has great animated films like the Spider-Verse films and Kpop Demon Hunters it only made sense how we eventually had to get a garbage film by them. If you want to watch Fixed then it's streaming on Netflix but I honestly wouldn't waste your time. Fixed is about a dog that runs away from home when he finds out that he is getting — no pun attended but “fixed.” This would have been the perfect opportunity to discuss the idea of people “fixing” their dogs.

Not only does Fixed not take the approach of discussing a serious topic of neutering your dog but it's just unwatchable. Excessive sex jokes/swearing and absolutely none of it is funny at all. Not only that but it becomes incredibly cringe and just unbearable to watch after the first few minutes. The best way to describe this film is Sausage Party but on crack.

3. The Woman In Cabin 10

The only thing I know about this film is that it's based on a book. It's a long drawn out snooze fest of a film. There is nothing memorable about this film at all so personally I would say skip this one.

2. The Electric State

Can Netflix please stop with these god awful films? They really blew $200/$300M on a very bland Sci-fi futuristic film that no one cared about. Millie Bobby Brown needs a new agent/manager because she has been in some real stinkers not including Stranger Things. Just like The Woman In Cabin 10 this is easily one of the most forgettable films of 2025 and we need to save Millie Bobby Brown for these god forsaken Netflix films.

1. M3GAN 2.0

I was not a huge fan of the first M3GAN just because of the repetitive AI story Hollywood keeps putting out and the PG-13 rating. Now I didn't ask nor did I want a sequel to M3GAN but here I am discussing it's godawful sequel. How do you go from a horror film to the sequel being turned into an Action/Comedy/Thriller? This film just felt like a Tubi or even straight-to-DVD film it was so bad.

Not only is M3GAN 2.0 one of the worst sequels ever but it is easily one of the worst movies ever made. There is nothing about this film that is the least bit entertaining.
